During a Christmas concert, Kevin’s older brother plays a mean prank on Kevin.Home Alone 2: Lost in New York has frequent and highly trivialised slapstick violence. Slapstick humour resourcefulness importance of friendship and family Violence They’re planning to rob a toy store, but Kevin decides to foil their plan and get them arrested once more. On top of all that, the two criminals who tried to burgle Kevin’s house the year before, Harry and Marv (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern), have escaped prison and are also in New York.

Just like the year before, everyone oversleeps on the morning of departure, and the family descends into chaos as they all try not to miss the plane. Brilliant movie! 9/10.This movie is set one year after the events of Home Alone, as the McCallisters get ready for another Christmas family holiday. I absolutely adored the soundtrack too, New York looks splendid and the Plaza Hotel was incredible to look at. Eddie Bracken and Brenda Fricker also make appearances, and their scenes are touching, as they are of friendship and acceptance. My favourite scenes were the bathroom scene in the hotel, and when the staff are held hostage by a television. Catherine O'Hara and John heard are amiable as the parents, while the wonderful Tim Curry gives a hilarious performance as the Concierge. Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern are hilarious, as always. Macaulay Culkin brought a lot of charm to almost all the movies he's been in. The only problem is that the jokes are basically retreads of the first movie, but believe me, they're miles better than the ones in the fourth ( which is one of the worst movies ever) This is still a very solid film, that gets slow in the second half. Home Alone 2 is my personal favourite, and I watch it about once a month. The last two are just wannabes and feel like they don't belong. The only problem is that the jokes are basically retreads of the first movie, but believe me, they're miles The first Home Alone is very good indeed. The first Home Alone is very good indeed.
